Blood Bound ARC

Blood Bound by Rachel Vincent ARC. 4 out of 5 stars. Paranormal Fiction. Okay I'm going to make this a quick review. The switching back and fourth between characters confused me. It took me a little while the first time to figure out if that the character had been switched. After  you figured that out it became easier to notice.
Liv Warren and Cam Caballero would be the main characters. Liv was my more preferred character. Cam either  was making me mad or he was acting like the good guy. One line that stuck in my head about Cam.
"Then it hit me, like a knife to the chest."You son of a bitch," I hissed, fury burning through me like my blood was on fire. "You fucking recruited her. You didn't get promoted because you killed Lorenzo and freed all those women. You got promoted because you brought the women over with you-strait into Tower's grasp."
After that nothing changed my thoughts of him. What can I say not a big fan of anyone who acts like that.
The plot was good and it kept me reading more and more. It also took me a while to read because I kept falling asleep whenever I tried to read any book. Made me soooo mad. (Not used to waking up at 5 in the morning yet.Ack!)
The book goes on the theme that Liv's old childhood friend Anne destroys the contract that helped create peace among then after accidently creating a blood oath without knowing it.  A oath that caused them to do whatever the other person asked them to do, or die. Of course if your friend asked you to do stuff that caused you to get in trouble wouldn't you start to hate them more and more?
Another amazing book by Rachel Vincent. Now my next book to read is If I Die. Come out sooon! Woo!

Pretty ARC

Pretty by Jillian Lauren. Fiction. I had hard time figuring out what I wanted to rate this. I debated between 3 and 4 stars, and finally chose 4 out of 5 stars. Nice cover and the eyes are not open! I greatly dislike books where the people on the cover stares at you... And still stares at you. Release date August 30, 2011.
This book cover many topics from drug use to drinking problems to eating disorders. I have to say that like Crank these kind of books take patience for me to read I can't read them to fast or I get to bored easily. Unlike Crank though I didn't get the strong pull to read it all day. Thank goodness for that because then I get no sleep. Bebe almost lost everything she worked for by giving in to the need and even doing that why she was pregnant. I was thinking:You stupid person thank about the baby. What are you doing trying to get him killed? (Though also going on in my head: Was not shocked when that came up.)
I was giggling  I found out that my favorite numbers were in the book. "The clock reads 11:11." Just had to put that in the review.
Pretty is about Bebe a girl who survived a car accident while her boyfriend Aaron did not. When the accident took place they were both drunk and arguing. Not a good thing to do be doing when you can barely concentrate on the things in front of you. She then goes and lives in a what I would call a rebab home. With Susan as the head lady. "Along with the word "Concern." Susan is fond of "wonderful.""

Bebe left home and doesn't even think about going back even four years later. Bebe has a interesting personality with many many problems. You know what she looks  like her legs and hands cover in scars from the car accident. Bebe  goes through a lot in just 288 pages. She has a different way by the end of it. I gotta say I love happy endings. At least she's able to work out all the issues she has. Even if there's a slight chance the baby will inherit his fathers craziness. Let's hope not though. We don't need another person walking around calling them selves Jesus now do we? Cough cough  Jake.

Vampire Mine

Vampire Mine (Love at Stake Series #10) by Kerrelyn Sparks. 5 out of 5 stars! First my praise for the beautiful cover and also the inside flap. I am in love with it. Paranormal Romance. The main characters in Vampire Mine were Connor  Buchanan and Marielle a angel who was banished from heaven. Again Kerrelyn Leaves me wanting more and waiting for her next book Sexiest Vampire Alive.
After being banished from heaven for making three big mistakes. Connor finds her after she lost her wings and takes her to Roman for some help. Connor didn't know that taking her back would only cause more problems. So now Connor takes on the duty of her protector promising that he would help her get back in heaven.
Connor is a almost 500 years old, and at his midlife crisis moment where he rather be alone and by himself then with the company of other. Marielle is about as old as time itself. Yet when she comes to the human world she knows very little and is with some help she becomes better equipped to the human world. Both of the characters are well written, and Connors background story was long awaited. I never expected what had happened. Connor changes a lot in this story he learns how to let go of his past with the help of Marielle.
Vampire Mine takes place most of the time in Howard's cabin. A place where Marielle could learn how to adept to the human world with out harming any humans in the process. You could tell what all the scenes  looked like new and old. From the descriptions in the past books, and the description of the new places. You could always feel the emotions of the area rather bad, or good.

Chains of Ice

Chains of Ice (The Chosen Ones #3) by Cristina Dodd. 5 out of 5 stars. I have to say I loved this book. One of the random ones of ordered from my library not knowing that it was part of a series. This is the first book I've read by this authors and I gotta say I'm happy I found her. Yeah I know I started the series on the third book, bu the lovely words on the back had me glued to it.
"As a wildlife observer in the untamed mountains, Genny Valente had no idea that a beast more fearsome than any leopard lurked in the forest-a man, one of the Chosen Ones, betrayed by his gift and tormented by his memories. John Powell fled his fate and his duty, yet in Genny he sees his one chance for redemption. He will stalk her, kidnap her, and love her as only a savage can."
Oh yeah I was stuck.  John Powell and Genny Valente are the two main characters in this story. John Powell is known as the Yeti where he lives because he tends to wear animal skins and is really hairy. His past had horrible events happen in it, and that helped case  him go into his isolation.  As Genny puts it he ran away. While Genny is also confused about who she is because she let her father push her around for the last years of her life.  I say the guy was a complete jerk. He talks her into going on a trip because he had  her sign a contract for a loan, so she could go to collage. Now she has to do a favor for the people to have them forget the debt.  Genny goes on the trip with both her heart in it, and the purpose to pay back the debt of course she never knew that she'd fall in love.
Even the bad guys are are well written.  I understood what was going on without giving away that much of the book as I read. There were little hints from events that I think might have happened in the first two books.
