A future with Commander Ryven was...something to consider. But first they had to survive.

My Thoughts together because I wrote this differently The Review:
So what drew me into reading No Words Alone was the amazing cover and the first page. This was the first book I've read by this author and I gotta say this is officially one of my favorite genre.
Xera was a strong female lead and easy to understand. Both characters are well written and easy to fall in love with. The plot as unique and had lots of twists and turns.  You might see it coming then BAM! You're either right or your wrong.
Would I read the second? Yes!

Breathless

Title: Breathless (The Blue Fire Saga #1)
Author:  Scott PrussingReleased date: March 25, 2011
Page count: 254

Genre: Young adult, romance.
My rating: 4/5 stars
Publisher: Who Know

Summery:
College freshman Leesa Nyland has been fascinated by vampires since she was three years old. That’s when her mom started acting weird, refusing to go outside during the day and insisting the sunlight hurt her skin because she had been bitten by a one-fanged vampire…

But fascinated doesn’t mean Leesa believes—any more than she believes in blue fire, people who live for centuries, and kisses that can kill. When her beloved older brother suddenly disappears, she is forced to confront all these and more.

My Thought:  So I wasn't to sure on  this when I started reading it. I had some doubts on rather or not I wanted to read this, but I saw a couple reviews for it so I begin reading it. ;)
It was slow for the first 20% of the book and that almost pushed me away, but I was intrigued enough to see what was happening. The questions of where is he, what is he, does she has vampire blood.
I liked the story well enough. You can tell by my rating.

The Review: So the characters were definitely not flat. They all had character and background. He doesn't leave us needing very much info by the end because he explains a lot of it quickly and easy. Lot's us describing words  - I could see what every one was wearing, could see where they were at, felt what they felt.  Didn't go overboard on the descriptions like some books.
The plot of the story was different and I can't say I've heard of fire using vampire slayers as they are termed in the book.  The power of the fire and it's dangerous was another unique aspect.
Would I read the second? HECK YEAH! :D

She is convinced her dream man is real and connected to a string of macabre murders over the last 20 years. Fearing for her life, Cassie prays she is right about him and that he can save her before it is too late
My Thoughts:
So this was a free read that I got on amazon I think. I wasn't to sure about it and read some reviews and happy dance. I'm now happy I read it because the story was different - the good different.
The Review:
Time passes through this book a lot. From her childhood to her adult hood. Normally this confuses me, but for once I wasn't. <--- Another good thing about the book.
Now the emotional overload in this book is wow. I wasn't expecting the events that happened in the first book to occur. I was yelling at the step dad and her mom was getting glared at! Yeah I got into it.
When we got the adult part of the book parts of the book seemed flat which is why it got 4.5 stars. The plot was simple amazing which made up for flat.
Will I read the second one? Most likely once I can get the money. :)

Paige should have never agreed to do her best friend’s project. Reading to a boy in a coma is just plain creepy, but her English teacher somehow thinks her acting skills make it the perfect community service match. But when she finds the boy’s journal hidden among his books, things turn from creepy to interesting.

My Thoughts:
This was a really cute story. Full of emotions and drama. I loved this and have to say read it if you get a chance.
Characters are easy to fall in love with.
The Review:

The story was cute with twists and surprises. 62 pages of it and I'm simple in love with it. Paige is cute and is very preppy and thinks very high of herself if the attitude had stayed by the end of the book I wouldn't have liked her very much. Zach is well he's sleeping the whole book in a coma although we do get to hear his story and it's heartbreaking and very shocking.

Shadowlife-Hybrid

Page count: Who knows
Genre: Fiction, Romance, Fantasy, and paranormal.
My rating: 5/5 stars
Publisher: BC publications

Summery: Chase MacAdams is a hybrid with extraordinary abilities…

Roxie is an Indian beauty, a shapeshifter on her mother’s side and hales from a little known tribe in the Adirondack Mountains of New York. Her father is an immortal—Scottish by choice and time.
Thus, a friend, Nikki Walker thinks and rightly so, that Roxie will help in the fight against WB and his vampire clan. They need help because the vicious vampire now has Count Dracula on their side and all of Europe is in danger.
However, they have given Roxie a difficult task. The team wants her to visit with Chase in the highlands of Scotland and convince him to join in the fight. He has already refused, but Nikki doesn’t think he will refuse Roxie MacBran. And for all the wrong reasons he doesn't.

My Thoughts:
I was sooo happy when this came out that I flipped out. One of my friends got to listen to me wine when I figured out it was the wrong book, but I got the right one a couple hours later and by three in the morning I was in 40%. It sucked me right in. The ending surprised me and wasn't what I thought would happen. :)

The Review: So the third book it gets to the point very quickly. Unlike the other ones that take their time explaining what's going to happen with that it was easier to get into and and follow. I loved how the characters had trust issues and that kept causing to split apart. Cause some drama that was amusing and it didn't get to the point of annoying.
If you liked how the first two books were set up then you should like this quicker paced version.

Spellbound - Legend

Title: Spellbound - Legend
Author:  Claudy Conn
Released date:January
1, 2010.
Page count: 413
Genre: Fiction, Romance, Fantasy, and paranormal.
My rating: 5/5 stars
Publisher:Create Space

Summery: Maxine Reigate faces danger everywhere she turns. An evil and ancient beauty wants her dead – and Maxie needs to keep her at bay. Dark and monstrous Fae are slipping into the human Realm and causing havoc. Maxie has to be instrumental in stopping them and keeping the FaeWall in place. Confusing these matters more are two men who have entered her life. Julian, the moody High Druid Priest awakened after a two hundred year coma, and the Fae Prince who wants her for his own. She has decisions to make. . .

My thoughts:
Soooo once again Claudy Conn writes another amazing story full of twists and turns leaving you wondering how it's going to happen, when it's going to happen. There of course is a love triangle who to choose who to be with. Who's better. I'm happy to say she chose the one I thought she would. Feels smart!
The Review:
So the book starts out slowly then... BAM! You're thrown into the plot and the story sucks you right in. At point all the characters have their wow moments. One has a ever changing moods, nice and charming one second then GRRR rowr the next. The second one thinks he is high and mighty and has the stuck up air around him. Then the third just needed to choose one instead of leading them around.

1)What are your thoughts on fey?
2) What's your favorite paranormal characters to read about?

ShadowHeart--Slayer

Title: ShadowHeart--Slayer
Author:  Claudy Conn
Released date: August 26, 2011
Page count: 255
Genre: Fiction, Romance, Fantasy, and paranormal.
My rating: 5/5 stars
Publisher:Create Space

Summery: Her name is Nikki Walker, and she is a vampire slayer. She never thought she would have to use her slayer powers…but she does.
She is on the trail of an ancient and secretive vampire called Deadly Moon, and Nikki wants her dead. She has her reasons.
His name is Damon Drummond, whom some of you have met before and already know that he is a hunk of an unusual vampire. He is bent on keeping Nikki away from Deadly Moon.
The sociopath vampire, WB, who had been Pentim Rawley’s right-hand man, has taken over the Pentim clan and is turning out to be even more of a problem than his predecessor had been. In fact, if someone doesn’t do something soon…Dublin will go dark under his power, and other cities will follow.
Damon and Nikki are on opposite sides. He is a potent vampire--she is a skilled and powerful vampire slayer. Problem right there…but when they look at each other, sparks of all kinds fly. Too much stands between them. He will live forever…she will not…and yet…

My thoughts:
First off thanks to Claudy Conn I was able to read this book.
Second I absolutely love this cover. It's now in my top ten.
Third If you haven't read any of her books this series is a definite to read.
Fourth Can't wait for the next book to come. :D
The Review:
Shadow Heart-Slayer picked up the pace quicker then the first book and that was simply yay. I love how the book is was set up. Nikki slowly gets smarter though out the book and Damon well he's just a big tease. The whole book he taunts her from their dreams too just standing in the room with her.
There were two main conflicts throughout the book. First we learn about them and how awful the bad guys are. Then in the last 20% The battles are fought and the problems are solved. Simple and easy fights in a book are my favorite.

Now some questions:
1)When you read a book do you prefer long fights or would you rather they be
simple and over with?
2)When you think of a vampire slayer what do you see? Do you like the thought of them being with vampire the very being they live to hunt for?
3)What are your thoughts on the cover?

Shadowlove-Stalkers

Title: Shadowlove-Stalkers
Author: Claudy Conn
Released date: June 1, 2011
Page count: 270
Genre: Fiction, Romance, Fantasy, and paranormal.
My rating: 4.5/5 stars
Publisher:Create Space

Summery:What do you do when your father wants to turn you into a vampire and the man who offers you protection has his own, dark agenda?

Shawna Rawley has no choice but to run. Pentim Rawley, one of the most evil vampires who has ever lived, has just discovered that she is his daughter. Now he's obsessed with finding and turning her. She doesn't want Pentim to find the people she loves and use them to get to her. She doesn't want him to find and turn her. She has only one ace up her sleeve. The human in her may be at risk, but in addition to being half vamp, Shawna is also a white witch!

Chad MacFare has an offer for Shawna he thinks she can't afford to refuse: he'll protect her from Pentim and his minions. But Shawna doesn't trust the sexy immortal. She knows he has his own agenda-he wants to kill her father, and he wants to set her up as bait...

My Thoughts:
I really wasn't sure what to expect when I was reading this because I won it from another fellow blogger. It took about 20% to fully get into it but the wait was worth it.

The Review:
The plot takes some time to fully get into because she explains everything over time. It may seem slow at times, but once the story gets going you'll be sucked into it. Shadowlove-Stalkers is mainly going around the vampire and immortals with questions about who they truly are and why.
The story had the main conflict that it seemed to stick with normally. It had those small little problems that gave the story feeling. Nothing like a electricity demon thing to only find out some idiot brought his mom back to life. You can see what I thought of him.
Now I must plot ways to get the next book. :3 Cue Evil laughter.

Some Questions:
1) What do you normally like better vampires or immortals? What are your thoughts when they are combined together.
2) What's your favorite paranormal creature to read about, why?

Hush, Hush: The Graphic Novel 1

Title: Hush, Hush: The Graphic Novel 1
Author:
Released date: March 2012
Page count: 120
Genre: Young Adult, graphic novel, paranormal, angels.
My rating: 4.5/5 stars

Publisher: Sea Lion Books

The Summery: For Nora Grey, romance was not part of the plan. She''s never been particularly attracted to the boys at her school, no matter how much her best friend, Vee, pushes them at her. Not until Patch came along. With his easy smile and eyes that seem to see inside her, Nora is drawn to him against her better judgment. But after a series of terrifying encounters, Nora''s not sure who to trust. Patch seems to be everywhere she is, and to know more about her than her closest friends. She can''t decide whether she should fall into his arms or run and hide. And when she tries to seek some answers, she finds herself near a truth that is way more unsettling than anything Patch makes her feel. For Nora is right in the middle of an ancient battle between the immortal and those that have fallen - and, when it comes to choosing sides, the wrong choice will cost her life
My Thoughts:
First of I got a copy of this book from Sea Lions Books to review. Yay!
Something I will never get used to in graphic novels are the style. It's just rough looking. Manga lover to the heart. Also the skirts are a little short, but that's just me.

The Review:
So the graphic kept pretty close to what happened in the book. Nothing to important was left out and we finally get to see some faces to the people in the book. Patch was pretty close to what I always saw him as. Nora and Vee were nothing like I assumed they look. I'm happy that it kept close to the story. I've read some graphic novels that ruin it completely by leaving important facts out of it.
The characters were a little tossed in but the way they were introduced fixed that problem. If you liked the written versions and you normally like how graphic novels are written then you should love this.

Devastation Review

Title: Devastation (Built On Fear 1)
Author:
Released date: December 14th 2011
Page count: 264
Genre: Young Adult, dystopia
My rating: 5/5 stars
Devastated by a seemingly unforeseeable attack, America is shattered by a military that is the least likely of suspects. In the aftermath, American civilians are left to run, hide, die or fight, pushing through all weakness in their effort to stay alive. Fighting against all odds, seventeen year old Fallon and twelve year old Emery struggle through a nightmare they can't wake from in order to save their younger siblings. Collecting others along the way, and enduring obstacles unfathomable in their innocence, the kids trek cross country to reach The Safe Zone, a fortified area rumored to be set up in the south. Fallon and his friends aren't even sure there is a Safe Zone though. They could be running for nothing. Never remaining in one place for too long in their attempt to avoid bombings and capture, the kids fight against attack, the elements, sickness and their overwhelming sense of desperation, pushing each other to the limit as they struggle to survive this land of devastation.

The Review:
So recently I was introduced to this genre and have been finding more and more. Some how I managed to never read a book with this dystopia as their main theme. There were many characters and here's something to know don't grow attached to a group very much. Something I figured out also she has no problems killing off characters. She twisted words around so you eventually were trying to figure out who the good guys were, or rather there were any.
Now I can't wait to read the second book and will be waiting for it to come! :D

This was the first thing that came to my  mind.
20% Okay this is what I expected.
50% Oh snap!
80% What the crap?
100% Happy ending.

Here's some questions for you to answer.
1)What would you do if you were stuck in this novel.
2) What 10 items would you take everywhere with you?
3) Whose side would you take? The bad, good, or neither.

Creatura

Title: Creatura
Author: Nely Cab
Released date: June 15 2011
Page count: 308
Genre: Young Adult, Fantasy, Paranormal
My rating: 5/5 stars
**SPOILER ALERTS -THERE ARE QUOTES AND NAMES MENTIONED**

The Review:
The story was different and oddly unique. The plot had odd twist and turns that you would never see coming (Unless your that good). Isis was a strong hero and seemed to not want to put up with crap yet she did. David the boy drama in the books was a  simple romantic. A thought that crossed my mind, isn’t it bad to say I love you to a teenage boy? Biggest duh moment there he’s not exactly human is he? Err yeah then there were the twins, Eryx and Galen and I have to say they were my favorite characters. One more then the other. I’ll let you guess on that. ;)

First while my kindles still on some quotes that stuck with me.
Twilight moment: “My wings unconsciously took me to her home. I observed her from the window as she slept peacefully on her side.” -Page 167
The scene that stayed in my head. “During lunch Eryx sat with us. Galen wasn’t with our group today. He wasn’t any where in site.
“Where’s Galen?” I asked Eryx.
“Lunch detention,” Eryx snickered.
“What’s he in for?” Bill asked biting his sandwich.
“Making the substitute believe he was the student teacher finishing up university and hitting on her in front of the entire class.” Eryx threw piece of ham from the sand which he was eating down on his foam page.”She fell for it too. She was putty in his hands. He’s evil that boy.”” -Page 281

Now my personal thoughts:
I won this from the amazing book from the author Nely Cab about a month ago. I have to say this was  a happy dance win because I had been wanting to read this for a while. Now I must say AHHHHH WHAT A WAY TO END THE BOOK!! I need more because the ending was so abrupt.
